Dear Parents,

Clay modeling competition KG I and KG II

Date : 23 /9/2018

It is very important to develop child’s fine motor skill, eye -hand -brain coordination, develop the small muscles in their fingers and hands, foster their imagination ,creativity, problem solving, teamwork, social interaction and self- regulation. Clay modeling plays an important part in preschool education.

·           The competition will be held in class.

·           Students will be provided with required materials in the class.

·           All students need to participate.

Handwriting competition (Grades 1 and 2)

       ·         The competition will be held in the class.

       ·         All students need to participate in the competition.

Creative Writing Competition (Grade 3 and 4)

       ·         Students will prepare 30 – 50 words on the following topics :

v  Importance of education

v  Preservation of ozone layer

v  Tourism in Oman

      ·         Students will be provided with papers for the competition in the class.

      ·         All students need to participate in the competition.

Drawing and Colouring Competition (Grades 1 and 2)

Grade 1 – Colouring Competition

      ·         Students will be provided with worksheet for the colouring competition.

      ·         The picture provided to them will be based on the theme “World Tourism Day”.

      ·         Students need to carry their own colours to school.

      ·         Time duration will be 50 minutes.

      ·         All students need to participate in the competition.

Grade 2 – Drawing and Colouring Competition

      ·         Students will be provided with A4 size papers.

      ·         The theme for the drawing competition will be based on “Save Environment”.

      ·   Students need to carry all required material for the competition; example: pencil, eraser, ruler, colours.

      ·         Time duration will be 50 minutes.

      ·         All students need to participate in the competition.

Quiz (Grades 5 to 7)

Selection for Quiz – 12/09/2018

       ·         Selections for Quiz will be conducted in class in the form of a written quiz test.

       ·         Students need to prepare on the topic “GCC Tourism” for the quiz.

       ·         Short listed students will participate for the finals on 26^th September 2018.

Quiz Finals – 26/09/2018

      ·         Finalists will need to prepare on the topic “GCC Tourism”.

      ·         4 rounds will be conducted -

3.      Buzzer Round

4.      Rapid Fire Round

General Guidelines for CCA 2018-19

Dear Parents,

This academic year 2018-19, all the CCA competitions from Grade 1 and above will be conducted on Wednesdays. This is done in view for better practice, better opportunities and streamlining the entire CCA process.

Ø A bustle sheet (summary) of all the CCA competitions and special events for each month will be uploaded on the blog in advance at the beginning of every month.

Ø  Each bustle sheet will be followed by the guidelines for the different events in that particular month.

Ø  A reminder of the CCA competitions will be uploaded on the blog before the event.

Ø  No request from the parents will be accepted if the child fails to participate on the date of selection or the final events of the competition.

Circular – Purchase of textbooks and uniform
