1. The
laying of eggs:
Frogs lay their eggs in
the water or at wet places.
A floating clump of eggs is called the frog
spawn.
2.
Formation of a tadpole:
A tadpole emerges from the egg.
A tadpole has a tail, but no
limbs.
Tadpoles eat small plants
from the water.
3.
Formation of a metamorph:
Later the tadpole starts to grow its hind legs
and then the fore legs.
Their tail starting diminishing.
Lungs develop to
prepare the frog to live on land.
4.
Formation of a frog:
Lungs start to function.
Some frogs, at this stage
eat eggs of the other frogs and other tadpoles.
The tail diminishes and
legs grow stronger and bigger.
