Dear Parents,
Greetings from World School
First of all our sincere apologies for the long delay
happened in the distribution of uniforms. We know the pain you had taken
in this matter and no apology would suffice the same.
We also feel we should keep you informed the actual facts on
this matter so that you know all the steps that have been taken by the school
in this matter.
Normally we used to engage the local tailors for stitching
the uniforms. However this time (in the month of Jan 2016) when we got in touch
with the local tailors most of them expressed their discomfort to take up the
work and we were not getting adequate number of professional tailors to take up
the assignment like last year. Therefore, we decided to go for readymade
uniform suppliers who are skilled and experienced in this field.
Accordingly we identified AL MAISA ( (www.almaisa.com) company
who were doing this sort of work and after detailed discussions we entered into
a contract on 2nd May 2016 (please note May 2016) to supply
uniforms to us and even paid advance money to them. We gave them sample
measurements and all support but they engaged some local tailors in Salalah
itself and started getting into problems. We were following up with them
since June 2016 and every time they would supply a limited number of uniforms
which were not fitting our needs / requirements. Since they could not meet the
commitments we issued a notice of cancellation to them in the month of Aug 2016
and then started exploring new suppliers meanwhile maintaining all pressure
with Al Maisa to ensure at least they meet whatever requirements possible.
Since nothing was materializing, we identified another
company SKYFAST LLC to supply the uniforms and signed a contract with them on
27th Sept 2016. They were also assuring us deliveries however till now
they could supply only 100 sets of uniforms which we had issued to higher
classes possible. As per the discussions had with their top management they
have promised to complete the supply before 12th Dec 2016 starting their next
lot supply within 15 days from now.
As you can see we were taking all possible steps even
without the consideration of the cost so that the uniforms are issued at the
earliest possible. However, to our bad luck and the internal issues of the
suppliers the uniform supply was getting delayed beyond our control.
Kindly bear with this inconvenience and we assure you the
issue of the uniform will be solved as soon as possible.
Looking forward to your continued support.
Thanks & Regards
PRINCIPAL
