     Paper Making in Ancient Times
1.   Stones, metal wood and wax, clay tables, papyrus etc. were used instead of paper.
2.   Egyptians - wrote on paper made of flattened papyrus. They made ink from charcoal, mixed with water and glue.
3.   Later on people made parchment from animal skins.
4.    It was better than papyrus as they could write on both sides.
5.   The Chinese invented paper made from the bark of Mulberry trees.
6.   Monks in monasteries who learned how to write were called scribes.

    Printing Machines
1.   The first printing machine worked manually.
2.   The pages were folded to put in the right order.
3.   They were cut to size and bound together to make a book.
4.    Modern printing machines work with electricity.
5.   They print one after the other to make several pages.
