BIRLA FEST 2016 (Primary Section) INVITATION


Dear Parents
Birla World School Management, Staff and Students are privileged to have the opportunity to invite you all to the Birla Fest 2016 (Primary Section) on the 5th February 2016 at 6.30 PM in the school auditorium. The Chief Guest of the event is Dr. K.A. Nishthar and the Guest of Honour is Dr. Lakshmi Narayanan. Your benevolent presence shall add grace to the occasion and motivation to the kids.

Points to note (Circular):
1. Coming Week i.e. from 31st January 2016, Sunday to 3rd February 2016, Wednesday there would be the Birla Fest 2016 Rehearsal (Practice) and a few academic classes for the students of Grade 1, 2 , 3 and 4. Kindly send the following with your wards during these days- Water bottle, Snacks, Diary and a Rough Note book in their bags. No Homework during the week.

2. Thursday, 4th February 2016 will be a holiday as KG will be having their Birla Fest 2016 (KG Section) programme.

3. Students’ Reporting time on 5th of February 2016- parents need to drop their kids in the school at 4.30 PM.

4. Your ward’s costumes are being sent home (If arranged by the school). Kindly dress your child in the costume given on 5thFebruary. Apply base make-up as suggested by the programme in-charge (for both boys and girls). The reference picture/details shall be shared with you by the programme in-charge (if any).

5. All programmes will be allotted rooms in the ground floor itself. Kindly drop your kids in the room allotted and pick them up only when the function is over from the same room.

6. The school shall be providing refreshments to all participants. All children are requested to carry a water bottle and a handkerchief with them. Incase students wish to bring extra snacks of their own choice may do so.


7. 7th February 2016, Sunday will be a holiday. School reopens on 8th February 2016, Monday in the new Building.

Material used in construction

Some building materials, such as steel, concrete, and bricks, are structural- that is; they make up the basic structure of the building. Other materials, such as ceramics and glass, are mainly decorative. Traditional materials, such as stone and wood, have been used for many centuries and are often found locally.

 

Concrete and steel

Concrete is a mixture of cement, water, and small stones (called aggregate) that hardens like rock when it sets. Steel is iron that contains some amount of carbon. Concrete strengthened by steel rods is called reinforced concrete.
