Important Notification about CBSE Clarification

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION
Dear Parents
This has reference to the decision of the CBSE Board to discontinue CBSE-i Curriculum and the news that circulates in the social media and press.
We wish to confirm to the parents very clearly and firmly that:
1.       Ministry of Education has not given any directions to us to stop the school
2.       CBSE has directed not to continue CBSE-I curriculum and substitute the same with CBSE after necessary approvals.
In this connection, please be noted that we started CBSE-I Curriculum in Salalah with a view to provide a different learning experience with an enriched curriculum and a novel educational environment for the students of Salalah. Therefore we have no intention to convert CBSE-I to CBSE curriculum since CBSE curriculum is already offered by Indian School Salalah.

In view of the current situation and the clarifications sought by parents we wish to clarify that:
1.       Our classes from Grade1-5 will be structured around Cambridge Curriculum with major inputs from CBSE, ICSE and IB enabling the students to face any curriculum from Grade 6. Therefore after Grade5 if the student or parent wishes to choose Cambridge or CBSE or ICSE or IB, our students will be fully fit to meet the requirements.
2.       Grade 6 which has been discontinued from this academic year would be started once we have the full and final approval from ICSE so that students who are moving to India can have ICSE certification and students to other countries can have Cambridge / IGCSE qualifications.
3.       Meanwhile we are also in the process of IB certification which we believe would be completed in another one year time thereby offering one more international curriculum option for the students.

Please be noted that our aim is to provide students the best international education possible and we will continue to endeavor for the same. And in that process our first priority would be to comply with all statutory regulations / approvals and would in no way put the educational life of any student in danger.
We request parents to get in touch with us directly rather than posting questions in facebook or such media and in turn getting wrong information.
For further clarifications you may write to us :info@worldschooloman.com or contact Ms.MonzyOommen, Advisor to Board of Directors (GSM: 9927 3715)

We once again thank you for all your support and assure you the best service always.
