Ans. A festival is a day of celebration to spread love, peace and brotherhood.

Q. What are the 3 types of festivals?

A. Festivals are divided into three types:

1.   National Festivals – These festivals bring in love for nation and brotherhood in people’s mind. For example, Independence Day , Republic day, etc.
2.   Religious Festivals – Those festivals which are celebrated according to the religions are called religious festivals. Eid, Christmas, Onam etc. are some of the religious festivals.
3.   Harvest Festivals – Those festivals which are celebrated with sowing and gathering food is called harvest festivals. Onam, Pongal, Chinese New Year, etc. are harvest festivals.
