Guidelines for CCA Events (November 2018)


Extempore (Grade 3 to 7) 
Selections (31/10/2018)
Finals (7/11/2018)

Format of the Competition:
Each participant will be given five minutes to speak extempore on a topic picked up by him or her. Bunch of the topics will be given to select any one randomly. He/she will be given ten minutes prior to the speech to think over the topic.
Rules:
         Participant has to speak only in English.
         Maximum time limit to think over the topic will be 10 minutes and maximum time for speech will be 5 minutes.
         The participant will be allowed to select the topic maximum twice. In case he or she decides to select the topic second time then he or she will not be allowed to take up the first topic.
         Participant will not be allowed to take any paper or material with him or her during the speech.

Talent Hunt “World School Got Talent”(Grades 1 to 7)
Selections (starting from 7/11/2018)
Finals (5/12/2018)
The event is a Talent Hunt Competition where various people showcase their talents.
Participation in the “World School Got Talent” is open for all students from grades 1 to 7 who are skilled in the following talent categories:
     ·        Music - Vocal and instrumental; classical, semi-classical, jazz, hip hop or rap
     ·        Dance - Interpretive Movement to Music: any dance form
     ·        Drama - Speech: Poetry, oration, monologue, mimicry, puppet show, etc.
    ·        Visual Art – media : Drawing, different forms of painting, clay modeling, craft work,

Auditions for the “World School Got Talent” program will be held on the following dates:

7/11/18 (grades 1 & 2), 14/11/18 and 21/11/18 (grades 1 to 7), 28/11/18 (grades 1 to 3).


Registrants should submit their consent slips duly filled on or before 1/11/2018 in order to have a clear understanding of the number of participants and their talent that they will be showcasing.


Basic rules for participation in the “World School Got Talent” program are:
 
1.  Competition is limited to solo performances.
 
2.  Each talent showcase should be limited to maximum five (5) minutes and minimum three (3) minutes.
 
3.  Students interested in participating can only perform in a single category.

4. All presentations must be practised from home.  
 
5. All the participants are supposed to wear proper school uniform, unless a special costume is required to display a contestant’s talent with prior approval from Principal.
 
The selected and shortlisted Participant(s) shall be intimated through blog and they will perform for the finals on 5/12/2018.
